Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
I grew up in Southern Vermont and attended St. Lawrence University in New York. After graduation, I moved to Nashville to pursue my Masters in Nursing at Vanderbilt University. My husband and I moved to New Mexico where I spent four years working as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner at a clinic in Taos. As much as I loved the small clinic (and awesome skiing!), we returned to Vermont in 2020 to be closer to family. After moving, I worked in the Health Services Department at Landmark College in Putney, Vermont providing care during the COVID pandemic and working with students with learning differences. After my first child was born, I transitioned to Sugarloaf Pediatrics in March 2023 and am looking forward to starting at NAP in December after my maternity leave ends for my second child.
I have always been interested in both medicine and taking care of others so becoming a nurse practitioner was a perfect fit. I believe in compassionate, patient-centered care. Empowering patients through education is a key part of my practice. This allows patients to be equal participants in their own health care. My favorite part of my job is working with children and families and getting to watch your children grow and thrive. It is an honor and privilege to be trusted by families.
In my free time (which is very little with a toddler and infant), I enjoy skiing, cooking, reading and spending time with family.
