Provider Updates

May 31, 2024

Hello NAP Families,

We want to give all of you some important updates and reminders about the role of your child’s primary care pediatrician (PCP).

At NAP, we strongly encourage each family to choose a member of our team who they would like to be their child’s primary provider. This is the person you will see for well visits (check-ups), follow up visits for chronic conditions, such as medication rechecks, and non-urgent new problems. You can also communicate with this provider through the My Chart patient portal. This provider will receive any notes from other specialists and emergency room visits and will send in medication refills when appropriate. Having one provider who knows your child’s medical history well prevents errors, builds the provider-patient relationship, and leads to more satisfying care.

We are working very hard on our end to make sure each child maintains a primary care provider to help them develop this important. We ask that you please schedule your child’s well visits only with your chosen PCP – you can filter your search on the MyChart portal to show your PCP’s availability! – or contact our office to schedule a well visit or follow up visit with your PCP for non-urgent matters if you are unable to do so on the portal. If your chosen PCP’s availability does not align with your scheduling needs, please consider changing to a new provider so you are able to benefit from this important patient-PCP relationship.

NAP is making the goal of reinvigorating the PCP role a top priority this year. We are also excited to welcome new additions to the team who will be available as PCPs starting this summer! If you have not already done so, please discuss with your family who you would like to have as your child’s PCP. You will find below the list of NAP providers currently accepting new patients by office.
